Back to School, and straight to the pub!
Back in the days when they were all kids, brothers Matt and Joe went to the same school as their cousin Jordan. Also at that school was Jamie. Although they were all friends, little did they know that they would form a band in 2004. When they did, their first rehearsal was at Matts Dads house. The neighbours weren't best pleased, so they asked the landlady of the local pub if they could rehearse there on Saturday afternoons. She kindly agreed. The locals drinking at the pub were tolerant, but to say the sound was good would be a tall story. After some weeks of rehearsals they performed their first show to an audience consisting of friends, family, and pub regulars. It left a lot to be desired, yet there was a feeling about the band that they would get better. After some time the band found a permanent rehearsal space and left the pub (boy, were those drinkers happy!) and at that time a change of personell saw the original bass guitarist change, and Joe stepped up to the job. Now, four years later the band are more accomplished, are playing major venues, and have a large regular following. It could be said that they are on the verge of becoming an established musical influence. Next Wednesday they will go back to school. They are performing at their old school, for a private show for all the kids at that school. Then, on Saturday 20th they are going to the pub. It will be a celebrated return to their origin. The place where they started from. A homecoming gig, not to be missed. The Trafalgar Hotel, Railway Street, Nelson, Lancashire. 9:30pm Saturday 20th December. See you there. It's free.
